As of December 31, 2011, the Dutch embassy in Asmara is closed. This means that the services of the embassy will be gradually phased out.
The Consular Section of the Embassy Asmara is closed to the public since October 1, 2011 . Since then, the consular services except visa for the Schengen area, acquired by the Dutch embassy in Khartoum.
